CRAIG JAMES
Co-Founder
Craig James serves as President and Chief Business Development Officer for James Land & Development. Along with Adam, Craig is also responsible for investor relations and development partnerships.
In the early 80’s, Craig began his real estate career as a land broker/agent. In 2003, Emerging Land Markets, LLC was founded with a focus on buying, developing, operating and selling large ranches throughout Texas.
Craig has also been involved in master planning and land-use design for mixed-use projects in retail, office, hotels and single-family developments. Most recently, Craig master planned a 3,000-acre project that included 250 ranchette home sites, a chapel, wedding village, equine village and amenity centers.
Craig is currently engaged by the University of North Texas as a consultant to help design a master plan for their gateway entrance to the University. This master planned development will include a hotel, apartments, retail and office space, along with additional school space.
From 1991 through 2011, Craig announced college and NFL football for ESPN/ABC and CBS Sports.
Craig played football at SMU from 1979 to 1983. He then played with the Washington Federals of the USFL (1983 - 1984) and the New England Patriots (1984 - 1988). In 1985, he played in Super Bowl XX vs. the Chicago Bears. The Vince Lombardi Committee named Craig the 1985 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Craig was raised in Houston, TX and graduated from Stratford High School. He has a Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and a Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS).
ADAM JAMES
Co-Founder
Adam James serves as Chief Executive Officer for James Land & Development. Adam is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, finances and administrative duties of the company. Along with Craig, Adam is also involved in new business development, investor and partner relations.
Prior to his position at JLD, Adam was a Production Manager at CrownQuest Operating, an Oil and Gas exploration and production company based in the Permian Basin. While at CrownQuest, Adam was responsible for the production operations, production facility and infrastructure design and construction, capital and operational budgeting, personnel development and vendor relations in his area.
Adam is a licensed Texas Real Estate Professional. Adam played football and baseball while he attended Texas Tech University. Adam was voted a team captain and awarded All-Big 12, as a tight end, during his senior year.
Adam was born and raised in the DFW area and graduated from Celina High School. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University.
